Waikato Women in Business Incorporated (WWIB) is a community non-profit group in the Waikato that aims to connect and empower women in business within the region.

Our co-founders Sarah Hughes (Sarah Hughes Creative) and Anna Petchell (Anna Petchell Coaching) established Waikato Women in Business in July 2020. Over the past few years, our community has grown to over 900+ women in our Community Noticeboard Facebook group and over 1.3k followers on Instagram. We are constantly evolving and integrating ourselves into the wider Waikato community, with monthly coffee meetups, networking evenings, panel discussions and workshops.

We hold space so that every woman in business in the Waikato would have a community of people to back her, give her advice, feel whanaungatanga, and contribute her own knowledge and experiences.

CONNECT

No matter your situation, whether you are self-employed, working from home, or working for someone else, we are here to help connect you with other women in business in the Waikato through regular coffee meet ups, our Facebook Community Noticeboard and networking evenings.

EMPOWER

We believe that building your business starts from within. Whether it's growing your confidence in yourself and your abilities or needing a place to have your voice heard, we aim to provide a platform and a community where you can grow not only professionally but also personally. Whether you are starting up your business or needing professional development, we provide workshops, panels, mentorship, speakers and resources for women in business.

As a non-profit society, we couldn't do what we do without an amazing team of people supporting up. Find out more about them here.
